Max has been making things people enjoy since his days as a craft brewer. There's a particular feeling that comes from watching someone take a first sip of something you built — and decide they love it. After years in corporate, he wanted that feeling back.
The problem was obvious once he started looking for it. Wherever people gathered around good food and good company, the non-alcoholic options were an afterthought. Flat. Sweet. Forgettable. Nothing that belonged on the same table as a considered meal.
So in 2023, Max and Mudi set out to build something that did.

NINO is sparkling tea — a category that didn't exist in Switzerland before we created it. We don't start with grapes and remove the alcohol. We start from nothing, and build upward.
Premium teas for structure and depth. Verjus for wine-like acidity. Fruit juices for body. Hops for its aromatic and slight bitterness. Botanical distillates for a long, considered finish. Every ingredient earns its place. Nothing is there to sweeten or to mask.
We launched our first products in September 2024. Within a year, NINO had been independently recognised across all three expressions — Falstaff 2026, World Alcohol-Free Awards 2025 and 2026. Not because we set out to win awards. Because we refused to make anything we wouldn't be proud to put on a great table.
